Chandpur



Chandpur  is a district in east-central Bangladesh, located at the mouth of the Meghna River.

Meghna River
The Meghna River can be an important river in Bangladesh, among the list of three that forms that Ganges Delta, the largest that is known fanning out to that Bay of Bengal. Being an integral part of the Surma-Meghna River Process, Meghna is actually formed inside Bangladesh by way of the joining of different rivers from the hilly regions with eastern India. The riv meets Padma River with Chandpur District. The actual river ultimately flows in the Bay of Bengal with Bhola District.

Major tributaries in the Meghna include the Dhaleshwari Riv, Gumti Water, and Feni Riv. The Meghna empties in the Bay of Bengal as a result of four principal mouths, termed Tetulia, Shahbazpur, Hatia, together with Bamni.
The Meghna is a widest river among homeowners who flow completely inside that boundaries of Bangladesh. With one point near Bhola, Meghna is usually 12 km wide. Geography
Chandpur district contains a total area of 1, 704. summer kilometers-squared (1, 058. eighty-five mi).

The district is limited by Munshiganj District and Comilla District to your north; Noakhali Area, Lakshmipur District and Barisal District to florida; Comilla District to that east; and the Meghna Riv, Shariatpur Area and Munshiganj District to your west.

Chandpur is some sort of conflux of two serious rivers, the actual Padma River (the main branch in the Ganges River) and that Meghna River, which converge in close proximity to Chandpur town. Several significant tributaries in the Meghna River flow as a result of Chandpur district. These add Dakatia River, Dhanagoda Riv, Matlab River and Udhamdi Riv.
